The Trustees have reviewed the priorities for the resources of the Trust for the next five years in the light of advice received on a sustainable level of cash withdrawal from the Trust’s investment fund.

The Trustees intend to prioritise their charitable expenditure on educational grants and the Picker House and Collection as follows:-

  • The provision of up to 10 annual named scholarships of up to £5,000 each for students undertaking training in Fine Art or Performing Arts in the UK.  The Trustees are committed to supporting a varied and diverse selection of institutions and applicants; their deliberations take into context the historic funding we have provided in the past as well as the ongoing and future commitments of the trust. In the awarding of funds, the trustees seek to maintain a balance of institutions in London and across the rest of the UK, as well as between fine and performance art institutions. The Trustees hold an annual funding meeting in April, and will select and notify the institutions by May.  The grants will then be paid in September of that year. If you have any questions about the application for your institution, please do not hesitate to contact Sofia and she will assist you.

  • The maintenance of the Picker House and Art Collection and the further development of access to it by both the general public and students, for whom the Trustees wish it to be a resource.

  • The continuation of the Stanley Picker Fellowships in Fine Art and Design.

  • Continuing support for The Stanley Picker Gallery and The Department of Fine Art at Kingston University.

  • An annual grant to the AFOI museum for the acquisition of contemporary art or design in memory of Stanley Picker.

  • The continuation of the Stanley Picker Trust internship programme for a student curator at Matt’s Gallery in London

  • The trust regrets that it cannot accept applications from individual petitioners.
